Hi
I can't believe it's the middle of November already! Here we starting to make plans for Christmas...it seems that we just had Christmas a few months ago! I had a lot of fun helping out at the West Coast Women's Show for the Valley Women's Network...I was helping hand out free stuff for the show....got quite a workout filling up all the bins! The Fraser Valley Wedding Festival was also a lot of fun! Some of the wedding decor was just beautiful.

Here's a shot of my booth at the Fraser Valley Wedding Festival, which was held Sunday, October 28 from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the Coast Hotel and Convention Center in Langley. I had a great time, and met lots of great people. Thanks to all who stopped by my booth to have a chat! I'd also like to thank Lyn O'Brien and her assistants for doing such a great job organizing the fair......they had a beautiful area in the mezzanine where they showcased some of the ways to decorate for a wedding, including a chocolate waterfall for dipping fruit, and cakes in...I'm betting that was very popular! You can catch some of the action starting in January on SLICE TV!
Five Simple Weight Loss Tips from Dr. Andrew Weil We all know the "secret" of successful weight loss: Eat less and exercise more. It's not always easy, but by adopting healthy eating habits and a regular exercise routine, you are sure to lose weight without depriving yourself of nourishing, satisfying food. And if you continue those good habits after you reach your goal, you will have an excellent chance of maintaining your desired weight. Here are some tips for successful weight loss: 1) Avoid artificial sweeteners and synthetic fat substitutes. They are unhealthy and not conducive to the development of good eating habits. 2) Dietary supplements of "fat-burning herbs" are usually just stimulants - don't rely on them. The pounds will surely return once you've stopped taking them. 3) Build lean body mass. Strength training burns excess calories and influences the way your brain regulates hunger, making you less susceptible to food cravings. 4) Pay attention to the mental and spiritual aspects of weight control. Use relaxation exercises - instead of food - to combat anxiety. 5) Accept your body. You may see it as less than perfect, but it is beautiful just the same.
