How to Get Great Legs Squats are a functional exercise that we do in our every day activities....sitting down, getting up from sitting, picking things up, etc.
Plus, doing squats will not only strengthen your legs, but will help give them a nice definition, or tone. Doing Squats also helps strengthen your core muscles as they must lend support and stability throughout the movement.
This is an exercise that you can do even if you have no equipment...all you need is a chair!
Stand in front of the chair, making sure that you are standing with good posture, then, simply drop your hips down towards the chair until you just touch it, then raise back up again.
Remember to keep your tummy tight, and to do the movement in a slow controlled manor - 2 seconds down, hesitate, & 2 seconds up. Repeat 10-12 times, rest, & do another set.
Remember to keep breathing throughout the movement, breathing in as you go down, and breathing out as you raise up.
You can do this exercise 1 to 3 times per week with a rest day in between.
